Japan Electronic Materials Corporation (JEM) was established
in 1960 to manufacture cathode heaters for CRTs as its core
products, and the corporation has been a pioneer in leading
the industry including today’s venture companies. In
1965, JEM developed the world’s first fluorescent electron
tube made of tungsten to display characters, and further developed
a probe card for testing semiconductor wafers and started
production of probe cards. Since then, JEM has expanded its
business sites throughout Japan, America, Europe, and the
Pacific Rim. JEM is deeply involved in the global electronic
market, specifically in the field of semiconductors. With
a diversified product line and the ability to deliver high-quality
products, JEM became an industry leader in the worldwide probe
card market. In August 1998, JEM became a publicly traded
company in Japan and is listed on JASDAQ.
